MINGORA: At least two persons were killed and 34 others injured, many of them seriously, as a suicide bomber on Saturday rammed his explosive-laden car into the entrance to Mingora Hostel, presently serving as a base camp for the military.
The bomb blast occurred at 8 pm, followed by firing for almost an hour. The dead included a passer-by, identified, as Javed, and the suicide bomber himself while among the injured were an Army major, an official of the Information Department, two photographers and four personnel of the army.
