Residents in Pakistan's northwestern Swat valley are living in fear of armed Talibans campaigning against the government. Despite the presence of thousands of troops, the Taliban remains firmly in control of Swat in Pakistan's northwest. Policemen and common people have been beheaded in the streets, men lashed and schools burnt down under Taliban justice. Some 400 private schools enrolling 40,000 girls have been shut down
