Residents in Pakistan's northwestern Swat valley are living in fear of armed Talibans campaigning against the government. Despite the presence of thousands of troops, the Taliban remains firmly in control of Swat in Pakistan's northwest. Now is the turn of Buner where the Taliban have advanced and recently killed three policemen and two civilians. The people of Buner have preferred to defend their villages, but there is no sign of sending armed forces by the government for their protection. What a shame! Is this what the peace deal was signed for?
