KARACHI: The Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM), Chief Altaf Hussain on Monday paid rich tribute to the people on staging protest across the country over an incident of flogging a girl publicly at Swat.
In a statement issued here, Altaf said following appeal of his party, the countrywide peaceful protests by his party's activists and people have proved that the people do not agree to accept barbarism.
People across Pakistan displayed black flags at their homes and condemnation banners as well as staged protests to sympathise with the girl, who was allegedly flogged publicly in Swat, said Altaf.
