LAHORE: Chief of Jamiat Ulema Pakistan (S) Maulana Sami-ul-Haq has said no one would be able control the destruction that would follow once the Swat peace deal fails.
Talking to media in Lahore, he said Swat deal was made after much bloodshed and now this deal must be legitimized for the sake of restoring peace in the valley.
“The situation improved in Swat immediately after the deal and 70 per cent peace was restored,” Maulana Sami-ul-Haq said adding, “Therefore, President Zardari should take no more time to sign the draft.”
He was of the view that foreign forces want to destroy the peace of the valley. Therefore, he said, Pakistan should devise its own policies.
